When one travels, many lessons and morals are learned as well as seeing the various things that Allah has created in this world. Travel cleanses the mind, purifies the soul, enlightens the heart and forces one to contemplate the creation of Allah. It also brings happiness to the soul after having been clouded with the dust of the mindless routine of life that one falls into.

Seeing new lands and places, being acquainted with new faces and coming across different languages and colors all add to the thrill and excitement that one gets while traveling. Witnessing the wonders of the world and simply just taking in all the fascinating things that exotic places have to offer provide a sort of paradise on earth to the traveler. The traveler escapes his mindless routine of work and play and escapes into a world of the unknown, where each day is different than the last as he makes his way through the vastness of Allah’s creation.

Things as simple as sitting under the shade of a large tree in the hottest hour of the day instill serenity into the traveler and make his eman go up as he reflects upon the beauty of the creation of Allah. If the worldly life can bring moments of tranquility like this, then how about the gardens of eternity in which a fast rider could not cross the shade of its trees even if he traveled a hundred years in it?

I highly recommend traveling and guarantee that you will come back different; and because of this you will view the world through much more experienced eyes. Your paradigms will shift and your life will now be viewed through newer fresher lenses.

Salaamalaykum, well thought out. Thought I would share the following with you…

Indeed there have been examples before you; therefore travel in the earth and see what was the end of those who rejected the truth. (3:137)

And We have not sent before you but men from (among) the people of the towns, to whom We sent revelations. Have they not then travelled in the land and seen what was the end of those before them? And certainly the abode of the hereafter is best for those who guard (against evil); do you not then understand? (12:109)

Have they not travelled in the land so that they should have hearts with which to understand, or ears with which to hear? For surely it is not the eyes that are blind, but blind are the hearts which are in the breasts. (22:46)

Say: Travel in the earth, then see what was the end of those guilty (in sin). (27:69)

Say: “Travel through the earth and see how Allah originated creation; so will Allah produce a later creation: for Allah has power over all things. (29:20)

Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in strength: they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these have done: there came to them their messengers with Clear (Signs). (Which they rejected, to their own destruction): It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged their own souls. (30:09)

Say: “Travel through the earth and see what was the end of those before (you): Most of them worshipped others besides Allah.” (30:42)

Have they not travelled in the land and seen what was the end of those before them while they were stronger than these in power? And Allah is not such that any thing in the heavens or in the earth should escape Him; surely He is All Knowing, All Powerful. (35:44)

Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were even superior to them in strength, and in the traces (they have left) in the land: but Allah did call them to account for their sins, and none had they to defend them against Allah. (40:21)

Do they not travel through the earth and see what was the End of those before them? They were more numerous than these and superior in strength and in the traces (they have left) in the land: Yet all that they accomplished was of no profit to them. (40:82)

Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the End of those before them (who did evil)? Allah brought utter destruction on them, and similar (fates await) those who reject Allah. (47:10)
