A poet said:”Consider the case of a person who possesses the whole world, can he take with him in the grave more than cotton and a shroud?”

Abû Hâzim (rahimahullâh) said, “The scholars of our time have been content with speech and with no practice! The Salaf used to practice but not speak. After them the people practiced and spoke being followed by a people who spoke but did not practice. There will come a time when people will not speak nor practice.”

*Ikhlaas and Tawheed are a tree in the heart. Its branches are good actions. Its fruits are a good life in this world, and eternal comfort in the Hereafter, and just like in Paradise the fruits, whose supply is not cut off, nor are they out of reach, likewise are the fruits of Tawheed and Ikhlaas in this world. *
*[Ibn al-Qayyim – ‘al-Fawaid’ 292] *
