A Brief Illustrated Guide to Understanding Islam

Here is a great book on understanding Islam. In it contains many scientific proofs found in the Qurán such as the human embryonic development, the origins of the universe, the cerebrum on deep seas and internal internal waves as well as a commentary on the Quran by many prestigious individuals in the field of science.

This introductory book on Islam serves as a good da’wah tool, explaining some of the fundamentals of Islam, as well signifying verses of the Qur’an and how they relate to science and the world around us.

Many distinguished personalities from prestigious universities around the globe have stated their astonishment over the scientific miracles of the Quran. Click here to hear what Dr. Persaud, Professor of Anatomy, Dr. William W. Hay, a well-known marine scientist, Dr. Gerald C. Goeringer, a Course Director and Associate Professor of Medical Embryology and others have to say regarding the miracles found in Islam’s holy book.

Q1: “What was the reason that drove you to memorize the Qur’an after so many years?”

She said, “I always hoped to memorize the Qur’an from the time I was young. My father always used to invoke Allaah for me to become one of the memorizers of the Qur’an, like himself and like the elder brothers of my family who memorized it. So I memorized in the beginning about three parts and then after I completed the age of thirteen, I got married and became busy with the household and the children. After I had seven children, my husband died. They (the children) were all young so I took the time to raise them and educate them, and then after they grew up and got married, I had more time for myself. Therefore, the first thing I directed myself to focus upon was the Qur’an.

And from the beautiful qualities of the Quran are:

1. Its lofty meanings and its perfect and flawless style

2. The perfect justice of its teachings.

Where Would I Be Without The Quran? November 18, 2007

Where would I be without the Quran?
Would I be guided?
Would I be strong?
Would I be protected from evil and wrong?
Would I hear my Creator’s Words?
Would I hear Him describe the birds?
Would I know the stories of the old?
Would I realize their worth in gold?

Where would I be without the Quran?
Would I find safety when others fear?
Would I find peace whilst sitting here?
Would I be happy when others are sad?
Would I be protected from going mad?
Would I be patient when things get tough?
Would I be firm when the seas are rough?

Where would I be without the Quran?
Would I get to know the One above?
Would I increase for him my love?
Would I be aware of the Day to come?
Would I value what is worthless to some?
Would I be able to sleep at night?
Would I be able to see with His light?

Where would I be without the Quran?
Would I have examples to follow?
Would I rejoice when others are in sorrow?
Would I have fear of the Burning Fire?
Would I be at the bottom of the sea,
And have hope, that one day, my Lord will release me?

There is no deity except Him, so how are you confused? November 15, 2007

 Translation:

6: He created you from one soul. Then He made from it its mate, and He produced for you from the grazing livestock eight mates. He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation, within three darknesses. That is Allah, your Lord; to Him belongs dominion. There is no deity except Him, so how are you averted?

7: If you disbelieve – indeed, Allah is Free from need of you. And He does not approve for His servants disbelief. And if you are grateful, He approves it for you; and no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you about what you used to do. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. (Zumar 6-7)
