Here is a great book on understanding Islam. In it contains many scientific proofs found in the Qurán such as the human embryonic development, the origins of the universe, the cerebrum on deep seas and internal internal waves as well as a commentary on the Quran by many prestigious individuals in the field of science.
This introductory book on Islam serves as a good da’wah tool, explaining some of the fundamentals of Islam, as well signifying verses of the Qur’an and how they relate to science and the world around us.
Many distinguished personalities from prestigious universities around the globe have stated their astonishment over the scientific miracles of the Quran. Click here to hear what Dr. Persaud, Professor of Anatomy, Dr. William W. Hay, a well-known marine scientist, Dr. Gerald C. Goeringer, a Course Director and Associate Professor of Medical Embryology and others have to say regarding the miracles found in Islam’s holy book.
The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, abandoned island. He prayed feverishly for Allah to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements and to store his few possessions.
But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief and anger.
“Allah, how could you do this to me!” he cried.
Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him.
“How did you know I was here?” asked the weary man of his rescuers.
“We saw your smoke signal,” they replied.

It is easy to get discouraged when things are going badly. But we shouldn’t lose heart, because Allah is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.
Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground–it just may be a smoke signal that summons The Grace of Allah.
There are two days in every week we should never worry about; two days that should be kept free from fear and apprehension. One is yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its aches and pains, its faults and blunders. Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control.
All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed, nor erase a single word we’ve said. Yesterday is gone.
The other day we should not worry about is tomorrow, with its impossible adversaries, its burden, its hopeful promise and unknown performance. Tomorrow is beyond our control.
Tomorrow’s sun will rise either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds …but it will rise … and until it does. We have no stake in tomorrow, for it is as yet unborn.
This leaves only one day: TODAY! Anyone can fight the battles of just one day. It is only when we add the burdens of yesterday and tomorrow that we break down.
It is not the experience of today that drives people mad.
It is the remorse of bitterness for something that happened yesterday, and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Make TODAY the best day it can be, and live one day at a time!
It will come so sudden without warning and will seal the end of our lives on this planet. The angel of death will not take your schedule into consideration and will neither make an appointment. You will not be briefed prior to your departure nor will you have any say in your travel itinerary. The only thing you can take are your good deeds so will you not take heed and prepare for this great journey?
Whoever desires to purify his heart,
Then let him prefer Allah to his desires
-Ibn Al Qayyim
The Seeker of Happiness!
"...The seeker of Allah and the Hereafter - rather, the one who seeks to obtain all knowledge, productiveness, and leadership, such that he is a leader who is taken as an example in all of this - should be brave, bold, in control of his whims, and not under the control of his imagination.
-ibn al Qayyim

Little drops of water,
Little grains of sand,
Make the mighty ocean
And the pleasant land.
Accidental Reflections
“Whoever reflects will find that the noblest and most dignified person of every gathering is the one who is most silent, because silence beautifies the scholar and conceals the faults of the ignorant.”
-Ibrâhîm an-Nakhâ‘î (rahimahullâh)
Ibraaheem an-Nakha'i said: "When Shaytaan comes to you while you are in prayer and says: 'You are showing off,' make it longer."
Me? Sincere? No way!
as-Soosi said: "Sincerity is to lose the vision of sincerity in oneself."
Week 3: Tawakul
One day Allah's Messenger (pbuh) noticed a Bedouin leaving his camel without tying it. He asked the Bedouin, "Why don't you tie down your camel?" The Bedouin answered, "I placed my trust in Allah." At that, the Prophet (pbuh) said, "Tie your camel and place your trust in Allah" - Tirmidhi
[Lessons from this hadith] Placing trust in Allah means doing
everything that is necessary for success! <--that's a big one!
